Helping the Poor & Homeless

“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?”  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:37 & 40).

Homeless need to be feed, clothed, sheltered, and most importantly loved!

There are approximately 1.3 million homeless kids living on the streets in our country, and this number does not come anywhere near the amount of entire families living on the streets, under overpasses.

Did you know that here in the U.S. there are enough vacant houses to shelter the homeless? The Huffington Post wrote an article back in 2010 which mentions that millions of tons of food in California rot in farm fields or grocery store and restaurant dumpsters, much of which is edible and could go a long way toward eliminating hunger in California – imagine the other states?

We endeavor to help those who come to us find food, clothing, and shelter but there is no room at the inn. We are seeking a larger separate building in the county so we can take in the homeless off the streets of our city.

A lack of $250.00 a month – a little over $60.00 a week – a family can end up on the street! It can happen to anyone!

Remember, “inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.
